The article by Vice President Kuno Isao on "Revitalizing the Die, Press, and Assembly Integrated Production in the Press Industry" has been featured in the Mold Newspaper.

The Vice President, Kuno Isao, had an article published in the Kanagata Shimbun titled “Revitalizing the Press Industry through Integrated Production of Molds, Presses, and Assemblies.” The article discusses the strengthening of press part manufacturing for next-generation vehicles by investing approximately 3 billion yen to construct a new factory in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. The new facility will establish a seamless production system from molds to press processing, welding, cleaning, and assembly. Considering the upcoming 2024 logistics challenge, the company aims to focus on receiving orders for parts related to next-generation vehicles by producing them in locations close to customers. Kuno, the Vice President, emphasizes their expertise in press processing technology for challenging materials such as high-tensile steel sheets. Leveraging their advanced mold technology, they have developed a multi-process robot press line that combines precision forging, plate forging, fine blanking, and other press processes to handle difficult-to-process materials. The new factory will also introduce fiber laser welding machines and cleaning equipment for assembling cooling circuits in drive motor housings and cleaning and assembling ECU housings for electric and hybrid vehicles. Kuno Metal Industry aims to contribute to the development of the press industry by sharing information and advancing their skills in mold structure and press process design. Additionally, they have launched the cloud service “IoT GO CAE”, which provides material data for metal press forming simulations. This service allows companies to access material data at an affordable monthly fee, enhancing mass production efficiency and precision in press processing. Kono emphasizes that their competition lies not in material information but in mold structure and press process design.
